Audio Production and Recording

Available for in library use is a private recording studio equipped with:

  • iMAC w/ Logic pro X
  • Final Cut
  • Midi Keyboard
  • Microphone with sound dampener
  • FocusRite audio interface
  • Sustain pedal
  • Headphones upon request

Uses:

  • record and edit a podcast
  • record and edit music

Users should:

  • reserve recording studio in advance
  • go to Help Desk at reserved time, to get access to the recording studio
  • inform the Help Desk when finished

Available for out of library use is a Portable Audio Recording Kit equipped with:

  • 1 Zoom H4n Pro digital audio recorder in plastic case
  • 2 Sony microphones, each in a black case
  • 1 pair JVC headphones
  • 1 AC adapter cord
  • 1 USB cord for file transfer
  • 1 bag of user manuals
  • 1 laminated quick guide

This kit was created with funding from Loyola’s Center for the Humanities.

Uses: 

  • Record oral histories, interviews, and other audio on-the-go
