Policies

The Collaboratory at the Library is an active learning space that can be reserved by faculty from Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame of Maryland University. The space accommodates 20 students and showcases several options for faculty and students to interact in a flexible environment with technologies that facilitate hands-on learning and teamwork. The room includes a Solstice Pod that can simultaneously beam up to 4 screens from Windows, Apple or Android devices to a mounted wall TV. Seven iPads are available for use with the Solstice Pod or other activities, and a Dell laptop is available for the instructor. Read more about the Collaboratory space and technologies on our guide

  • The Collaboratory can be reserved for up to 3 hours per day for a single class. To request a recurring reservation, please contact Cat Staley, Research Services & Innovation Librarian, at cstaley@loyola.edu, cstaley@ndm.edu, or 410-617-6836. 
  • Loyola University Maryland and Notre Dame of Maryland University faculty and staff can reserve the Collaboratory. Loyola students must comply with Loyola Events Services room reservation guidelines. Reservations for community organizations are approved on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
